"The Red Wheelbarrow"

So we read this poem in class and i have read it again and again and my response is simply... How could this poem be considered good or even great?  My 2 year old brother could write something as sophisticated as "The Red Wheelbarrow". The poem has all of 16 short words in it. I just cannot wrap my head around how this shows any sort of intelligent  or artistic value.
